Tobacco farmers in Kapinga, Kasungu District, Malawi have taken the step out of tobacco cultivation. They now grow food crops and earn much better incomes. Moffat Sambani grows maize instead of tobacco and runs an agricultural business; he was able to invest with the proceeds. Violet Jevinala now makes a living from growing food crops and is much better off than before.
