This German 58-pages study provides information on the conditions, under which tobacco is grown in Africa. A general introduction into tobacco production in Africa is followed by three chapters focusing on Zimbabwe, Malawi and Kenya. It’s about tobacco farmers facing difficulties to make ends meet, about child and forced labour, but also about alternative livelihoods to tobacco growing.
